Pores in Materials; Polymers and Metals (PiMPaM)

Research group at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid

Inorganic Chemistry Department

Welcome to our group’s website. We are a collaborative platform where different senior members can develop their own ideas and projects with a high degree of independence. The main research work is devoted to the search for new materials with predesigned properties for advanced applications. Our activities include the assembly of extended porous organic materials (Covalent Organic Frameworks and their amorphous counterparts), ceramic structures and polysulfide polymers. We are particularly interested on their catalytic behavior arising from either organic structures or metal centers. We study thermally- and photo-activated processes. The main applications that we pursue are selective and efficient organic synthesis, water decontamination and water splitting.
